A setter is a school member with the organization-scoped setter responsibility. That responsibility permits booking a call for a prospect and reading bookings the setter placed. It does not make the setter an owner/admin or give them the school's availability, link settings, all CRM contacts or payment information.
In the Mike Academy example, the owner prepares the Discovery call link. The setter can send its already-created public address to Camille. Camille can book for herself, or the setter can place a call on her behalf through the authorized create-booking endpoint. The setter later sees bookings they placed in CRM → Bookings; the closer assigned to Camille sees the call they will hold.
| Actor | Availability and links | Bookings and calls |
|---|---|---|
| Owner/admin | Read and change school availability; create, edit, activate and copy links | Read school bookings and agenda; reassign an active booking |
| Setter | Cannot read the school availability document or create/edit links | Read only bookings they placed; may book for a prospect with the required school API key and role |
| Closer | Read their own availability row and slots, not the whole school setup; cannot create/edit links | Read calls assigned to them; may book for a prospect with the required key and role |
| Anonymous prospect | Uses an active public link, without school access | Sees their own confirmation and manages the call through its private token link |
CRM → Bookings is a scoped list for a setter, not a school-wide contact workspace. It does not provide a Book for prospect button. The API route requires an API key bound to the school and still checks the caller's organization membership and business role. A setter cannot gain another school's bookings by changing an identifier in a request.
If Camille books herself from the public page, the setter who merely shared the URL did not place that booking, so it does not appear in their booked-by-me scope. The assigned closer sees it as their own call. The agenda guide explains those views; the public booking guide explains Camille's route.
